In August we told you about Tai, Rainn, and Brooke Sheppard, the 11, 10, and 9-year-old sisters who competed in the AAU Jr. Olympics in Houston.
The three girls live with their mother (who works full time) in a two-bedroom unit at a homeless shelter in Brooklyn, NY, and set up a GoFundMe page to finance their trip.
Despite not having a consistent home to live in, Tai, Rainn, and Brooke get all A’s and B’s in school. Not to mention, their speed on the track is gaining them national attention.
That’s why Sports Illustrated named them ‘SportsKids of the Year.’
Take a look at their story.
