Charleston Southern University baseball player Chris Singleton lost his mother, Sharonda Coleman-Singleton, last week in the horrific Charleston shootings.
Sharonda was a speech therapist as well as the women’s track and field coach at Goose Creek High School.
Chris has been surrounded by family, friends, and supportive teammates since he lost his mom.

Vice President Joe Biden and NBA star Dwight Howard even reached out to Chris to offer their condolences. The latest in the long list of supporters is Cam Newton, who visited with Chris on Monday. This comes just days after Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson donated $100,000 to the families of the nine victims.
Thanks again @CameronNewton for coming to my house and hanging with my family. Looks like I’m a Panthers fan now. — Chris Singleton (@csingleton__2) June 23, 2015
