Tim Tebow made is spring training debut with the New York Mets this week.

His critics (and yes, he still has many) constantly put him down for wanting to be a professional athlete, but the former Heisman winner offered some serious perspective.

“So much of handling sports is handling pressure,” he said in his press conference. “Well, what pressure do you have if you’re 0-for-12, and you’re at the plate versus someone who is fighting for their life?

“I want to be someone that was known for bringing faith, hope, and love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need.”
