Kayleigh Williamson made history over the weekend by becoming the first person with Down Syndrome to hit the finish line at the Austin Marathon.

The 26-year-old completed the half-marathon course after training with RunLab Austin to work on her stability and endurance.

“We’re really hoping Kayleigh’s story will inspire other people with Down Syndrome to get into a sport that they may not have considered in the past,” RunLab owner Dr. Kimberly Davis said.
