Ever dream of riding on top of a float in a Super Bowl parade? Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Chris Long has just the deal for you.

While Long can’t actually invite a stranger to stand by his side on Thursday during the five mile-long parade route, the 10-year NFL veteran and two-time Super Bowl champion is offering a fan the chance to experience the epic celebration through a five-minute FaceTime session with him from the parade float.

Sure, he’s presenting the opportunity to give a passionate fan an insider’s look at the Eagles’ greatest moment in team history, but the reason why he’s doing it is so much bigger than any Super Bowl win.

In order to enter the drawing, Long is asking folks to donate $20 to his Conquering Kili campaign, which brings former military combat veterans to Tanzania to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, and raise money to build sustainable water wells in the region.

Now in its third year, Long and former NFL player and Green Beret Nate Boyer will lead the charge from Feb. 16-26 as their team climbs Africa’s highest peak at 19,341 feet, which represents the miles many African women travel on a daily basis to retrieve water for their families. Following the climb, the group will get to work building wells as part of the Water Boys initiative. At the time of this writing, they have built four wells in Tanzania, and anticipate building two more in 2018.

“It’s an exciting deal,” Long told the Providence Journal. “It’s a great way to get our vets involved in the fight for clean water. They know how to serve folks who are less fortunate better than anybody. I mean, they spend so much time in the Third World, improving the world.”

Who can argue with that cause?

Thus far, $66,372 has been raised, which isn’t quite halfway to its $150,000 goal. Long is keeping the FaceTime contest open until 11:59pm EST on Tuesday, Feb. 6.

So, why miss out? Throw $20 in to enter. Sure, that might give you the chance to go one-on-one with Long. But, more than that, it will give those in Africa the gift of life.
