The Hurricane Harvey relief fundraiser J.J. Watt started on YouCaring Sunday is showing no signs of slowing down.
After passing the $10 million mark Thursday, it took less than 24 hours for it to hit $14 million, which is $1 million shy of his new goal: $15 million.
This weekend, the Houston Texans defensive end and his teammates will disburse clothing, water, food and other supplies from nine semi-trucks that have been filled to the brim.

Things don’t end with distributing supplies to those who have been affected by Hurricane Harvey. Watt is consulting with organizations that helped following Hurricane Katrina’s destruction of New Orleans in order to figure out what the next steps are.
“I talked to some of the companies that helped out over there (in New Orleans) just to kind of get a glimpse of what went wrong, what went right, and how do you think we can do it best this time,” Watt told Anderson Cooper. “And I’ve gotten some really good information and the best thing that people have told me so far is take your time to make sure you do it right.”
It doesn’t matter what Watt does on the football field this season, or for the rest of his career for that matter. As a human, he’s already a Hall of Famer, and one of the greatest leaders sports has ever seen.
