Sometimes winning plays are made just on the other side of the stadium wall.

Look no further than Wrigley Field when 26-year-old Casey Spelman helped a blind Chicago Cubs fan hail a cab.

According to Ryan Hamilton, who was on a rooftop near the historic ballpark, the man was struggling to flag down a taxi. That’s when Spelman stepped up. Lucky for us, Hamilton pulled out his camera to document the MVP move. Here’s what he posted on Instagram:

“Wanted to give a shout-out to this girl. No idea who she is, but we are in Wrigleyville on the rooftop of Old Crow Smokehouse. There was a blind Cubs fan trying to hail a cab for several minutes until the lady came up and asked him if he needed help hailing a cab. She stood there with him until one pulled up. Awesome to see such kindness in a world that the media portrays so much hate in. Share freely in hopes that her kindness spreads.”

“I just said, ‘Hi, are you trying to get a cab?’ and he said, ‘Yes’ and I said, ‘Would you like some help?’ and he said, ‘That’d be great,’” Spelman told FOX-59.

As you can see in the photos, Spelman linked arms with the man to make sure he would get home safely.

“I didn’t really think much of it at the time,” she told ABC7. “It was after a Cubs game and it was still pretty crowded. I thought, ‘Man, it’s going to take him a while.'”

It may have been Spelman’s first time to Wrigley Field, but she certainly made an impact on  Wrigleyville.

And, no doubt she’s welcome back anytime.
