It’s not unusual for NFL referees to take some inadvertent hits. It comes with the territory.  And just because Sarah Thomas (the first full-time female official in NFL history) is a woman doesn’t mean she’s immune either.

During the Packers-Vikings game in December, two players crashed into Thomas on the sideline, which sent her flying backwards. As you can see, she tried to break her fall with her hands.

According to ESPN’s Jane McManus via NFL officials head Dean Blandino, Thomas broke her wrist, but finished out the game anyway.

There’s no questions she’s tougher than some of the players.
