We don’t usually see PGA TOUR pro Justin Thomas on television on Wednesday nights, but the ahead of THE NORTHERN TRUST in New Jersey next week, he made a pit-stop in midtown Manhattan to visit Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show stage.

Thomas wasn’t just there to talk about Tiger Woods, however. He was there to compete. Thomas grabbed an iron and took Fallon on in a game of “Facebreakers,” which consisted of the two men hitting golf balls at a wall of glass panels featuring etched sketches of their faces. The goal: Be the first person to break all of your opponent’s faces on the wall.

The winner got not only bragging rights, but also a whopping $1 million donation made in his name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital courtesy of FedEx.

The stakes were high, but Thomas pulled this one out.

“Appearing on the Tonight Show and meeting Jimmy Fallon has been on my bucket list for quite some time, and it was a blast to go head-to-head with him in a game,” Thomas said in a PGA TOUR press release. “In my line of work on the PGA TOUR, I’m very fortunate to be a part of many amazing opportunities and it’s extra special when I can team up with great organizations like FedEx and St. Jude to help make a positive impact in the lives of children and their families.”

The $1 million donation will help ensure that families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food, so that they can put all of their focus on their seriously ill child.

FedEx has been an official sponsor of the PGA TOUR since 2002, and the shipping giant has been involved with the FedEx St. Jude Classic for more than 30 years, helping raise more than $38 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
