Say what you want about Tim Tebow, the baseball player. But, Tim Tebow, the person? He’s a class act.
When Ileanna Bosch brought her 10-year-old son, Seth, to Charlotte Sports Park on July 29 to watch Tebow and the St. Lucie Mets take on the Charlotte Stone Crabs, she never expected to capture such a thrilling moment for her son.
Seth, a huge Tebow fan, falls on the autism spectrum and has neurofibromatosis, a rare genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerve tissue.
As Tebow was on-deck, Seth made his way down the stadium steps to say hello to his favorite player. Tebow acknowledged the boy and walked over to him to shake hands during a brief delay in the game.
Seth was so overcome by the moment that he had tears of joy streaming down his face as he made his way back to his seat.
Then, Tebow stepped up to the plate and crushed a three-run homerun.
“When Seth came back to his seat, he was crying,” Ileanna Bosch told The Tampa Bay Times. “And then Tim hit the homer. I started crying, too. How does that happen? I think God brought Seth and Tim together.”

Because Seth has a tumor behind one of his eyes, he cannot participate in sports. However, it’s athletes like Tebow who make kids like Seth feel like they’re every bit part of the game. And you can’t put a price tag on a “ticket” like that.
