Young Girl Breaks Her Arm While Hiking, Miesha Tate Carries Her Down The Mountain

Mixed martial artist Miesha Tate was out enjoying a hike on Mount Charleston in Nevada over the long weekend when she stepped up big time to help one family in crisis.

Andrew Abalos and Amber Ellis were hiking with their 6-year-old daughter, Kai, when she fell and broke her arm about two miles away from their car.

Taking turns carrying Kai down the mountain, Abalos and Ellis got tired. That’s when Tate jumped in to handle the job.

Kai’s dad posted this on Instagram:

Such a crazy labor day weekend for our family but ended in such an amazing and beautiful way. My poor Kai broke her arm at the top of the Mary Jane Falls hike at Mt Charleston. So @mommapook and I basically had to carry her down miles ahead. To our rescue and assistance came the amazing @mieshatate the UFC fighter. She offered to help us carry her down the mountain. Such an amazing and humble person to have met. Our family cant thank you enough for all the help. You saved us easily hours of hiking and helped us get her to the hospital sooner. Then Kai sent Tate a very sweet thank you message.

Tear jerker! Meet Kai the sweet little girl that kept me company down the mountain side, very upbeat despite her broken arm. And I just have to say this was one of the most rewarding days of my athletic career. And I also want to make a point that I have been told many times that I am “too buff” or “manly” that I should stop lifting weights, that it’s “gross” and not attractive for a woman. I am so happy I never listened to the limitations others wanted to put on me and I hope that our youth knows that don’t have to conform.
