Tony Smith, 29, is one of the biggest Detroit Pistons fans on the planet.

He also happens to have Centronuclear Myopathy, a debilitating muscle disease that put him on life support when he was just two years old.

Most people with this disease die within their first year of life.

“Most of the kids at his age died in their first year of life from respiratory failure,” his physical therapist said. “Tony, as far as I know, is the oldest survivor in the United States.”

With his precious life, Smith has followed the Pistons through all their highs and lows. Never did he think that he would be able to meet the team and ask them questions.

The Pistons made his dream come true in early October, and a camera followed him every step of the way to create this touching video.
