Isaiah Simpson, 6, was told at the beginning of the school year that if he could get his grades up, he would be able to see his favorite team, the Golden State Warriors, when they traveled to take on the Atlanta Hawks.

So, the Georgia boy worked hard in the classroom and his mother, Alex, bought tickets online on the secondary market so she could take her sons to the game in early March. However, when the family arrived at the arena, their $600 tickets wouldn’t scan. The game was sold-out so the family couldn’t get in the door.

CBS46 looked into the issue and Alex was eventually given a full refund and a $100 credit, but Isaiah never got to see Steph Curry, his hero, live in action.

The Warriors heard about the story so they invited the Simpson’s to Oakland, and along with CBS46 viewers, the team paid for their trip.

Based on the pictures from CBS46, it looks like Isaiah had the time of his life.

What a way to take in some NBA action.
