The Headd children, who range from 3 to 6 years old, thought their father, Sgt. 1st Class Joshua Headd, was going to be in Africa for another two months.
Then, they got the surprise of a lifetime.
After spending 10 months overseas serving our country, Joshua returned home a Knight in Shining Armor. Make that a Jedi Knight.
He dressed the part and surprised his kids during “Star Wars Night” of the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins game. Joshua’s wife, Maggie, arranged everything to which he said,
“It was a lot more emotional than I thought It was going to be,” Headd said. “Oh, it felt great. I mean, it’s overwhelming.” (Wood TV 8)
What a great way to come home.
